she had answers to all the wrong questions

I almost didn't buy this leather jacket, but I'm glad I did. I've always wanted a black leather jacket because it's a staple but I thought I'd change it up and go with a gunmetal grey instead. This is my new favourite blouse, I've been wearing it with everything (high waist dress pants, shorts, and boyfriend jeans) - I absolutely LOVE it, especially all the tiny grey polka dots!

If you're wondering why my tights look a little messed up, I made the mistake of wearing them with a sequined skirt. A little unintentional DIY resulted in a pair of slightly destroyed tights, which I still think looks great. Also, I tried a multicoloured manicure because I always wear rings on my index and third fingers. I didn't want to leave my pinky and ring finger out so I thought I'd paint them a different colour - what do you think?

P.S. I'm sure you've all noticed that I have a Facebook Fan Page now, so please join if you are a fan of Le Mode du Jour - your support is much appreciated! xo

my best manicure ever was when I painted my nails black. haha I had a phase where I just painted them black..the manicurist liked my nails and fingers so much that she added delicate white designs on them. It was very nice and Victorian-goth looking.
Having different colours makes it different and unique

the outfit is subtle and subdued but sexy all in one

I love the sheer top.... goes nicely with the El Nina shaking up Vancouver weather.

I'm also going to have to pick up that Mint Candy Apple polish. Essie always stays on so long!

Ohmigosh I have that same exact owl ring from Forever 21, only mine is gold - now I want it in silver too; and - funny funny - I just ordered a bottle of Essie's Mint Candy Apple and am counting down the days until it arrives.

Oh, I love everything about these pictures. You are fabulous, Nicole - and I've missed your posts!! :)

Looking good! Loving the nail colours-I'm obsessed with changing my polish every week now haha.

Mackage jacket + LR's= perfection and splurge worthy.

Also, I love how you mixed & matched your outfit. It's great that you incorporated more expensive items with less expensive ones. It's my favourite thing to do :)

Anyways, have a good week! Enjoy all the Olympic festivites.

I have the same jacket and blouse combo! except I bought the blouse in the grey/green with small florals. Its my new fav too =)

Also opted for the Mackage jacket in grey for the same reason - why not change it up? so happy with my decision. never looked back!
