I almost didn't buy this leather jacket, but I'm glad I did. I've always wanted a black leather jacket because it's a staple but I thought I'd change it up and go with a gunmetal grey instead. This is my new favourite blouse, I've been wearing it with everything (high waist dress pants, shorts, and boyfriend jeans) - I absolutely LOVE it, especially all the tiny grey polka dots!

If you're wondering why my tights look a little messed up, I made the mistake of wearing them with a sequined skirt. A little unintentional DIY resulted in a pair of slightly destroyed tights, which I still think looks great. Also, I tried a multicoloured manicure because I always wear rings on my index and third fingers. I didn't want to leave my pinky and ring finger out so I thought I'd paint them a different colour - what do you think?

I met up with Jeremy for a photowalk in the heart of Gastown, Vancouver over the weekend and these are some of my favourite shots. I love this floral jumper because of how the colour pops against the urban landscape. I almost wore the jumper tucked into a pair of high waist dress pants, but I'm glad I opted for lace tights instead.

I've been wanting this sweater from Club Monaco for awhile but they never seemed to have my size in the grey. As it turns out, I bought a small instead of an extra small because I love the way the loose fit draped on my shoulders; plus it's more comfortable! This is my favourite way to wear it with a lace top underneath so it looks like a one-piece with a lace inset. I like playing with contrast. The soft grey of the top and sleek edge of the liquid leggings create a perfect harmony; at least in my mind. The yellow flower ring was a gift from my mom hence its unknown origin. She said she saw it and thought of me (thanks mom!)

My apologies for being extremely behind on my blog and replying back to all your wonderful comments. I'm definitely going to have to try harder to keep up, esp now that I have a second job at a restaurant (oh the things I do for shoes! lol) I'll have to be better about my time management and priorities. I really appreciate your continuous comments, support, and most importantly your patience; you guys are incredible!

I've had a few comments and emails regarding my makeup so I'm currently working on a makeup post :)

I know I'm not the only one who's had a long week so kick back, relax and enjoy the weekend!

If you couldn't tell from the photos, I can't wait for Spring to arrive. Sure it'll probably mean more rain, but it also means we are one more season closer to the warmth and sunshine of the Summer time. Not gonna lie, I miss wearing a lot of my peep toe shoes!

P.S. These jeans are so comfortable, I've fallen asleep in them before.
Now that's my idea of comfort.

shopping du jour

So I almost purchased a silver sequined blazer, but this Chanel-esque jacket caught my eye and I bought it instead. Now I'm just trying to figure out whether I "NEED" it or not.

Update: The jacket has been returned, oh well.

I bought more scarves! I got a bright lilac one and a steel blue one for colour, but I want to get another black scarf and a grey one as well because they're staples and I wear a scarf practically every day. I got these scarves at $7.50 CAD a piece from F21! They're 100% viscose and drape quite nicely. Talk about dirt cheap.

Lately, I've been looking for a light foundation that has a nice, dewy finish and I finally found it! I love Laura Mercier products and swear by them. I know the line is a tad pricey but personally, I spare no expense when it comes to what I put on my face (only the best!). This illuminating tinted moisturizer is no exception. It makes my skin glow and I absolutely LOVE it.

I'm not one for publicizing personal sentiments, but this is the only exception.
I dedicate this post to my mom (hi mom!) because she is everything I aspire to be one day.
She was also the person who took all my photos today!

i design album covers at 3am

I was tagged by the lovely Teresa of Senses & Style to design a random album cover. Despite being without Photoshop, I loved the idea and was intrigued to design a cover regardless. I discovered Picnik and that quickly became my best friend.
